This Mic deserves some extra attention I think , the capsule with no proximity is genius and the sound on level with my Telefunken elam251 , starting to consider selling my Telefunken now. Because I can not find something bad about this mic , great high end sound on par with the best and great packaging and service and communication was the best I experienced in my career from an audio gear company; So A well deserved 5 starts, Greetings Christina
Ive owned allot of high end microphones and record around 5 artists on daily basis in my recording mix mastering studio and the LUMINUS makes my workflow very fast plus efficient and removed the need for EQ / de-essing totally the LUMINUS direct captures a very nice smooth processed quality to start with. I totally love it and use it on every vocal.
Owning classics like neumann m149 manley ref + gold and brauner vmx I was A bit skepical if it could bring some improvement but took the jump and must say the luminus has such an incredible capture quality and the no proximity bump while cardioid is spectacular plus so helpful when mixing that for the price is performs far above what you pay for. I am very satisfied
